This letter is being written in sincere appreciation of TAP/Virginia CARES.  Upon my release, the employees at Virginia CARES ex-offender program really helped me with food and clothes, and really made me feel welcomed.  For this I am eternally grateful and commend them in the efforts. 
                                                                                                                                      An Ex-Offender
I am an ex-offender and was just released on parole on September 23rd. I've found the transition to be very difficult after having been incarcerated for almost two years. The hardest thing to adjust to is that my husband has gotten so used to my being gone that he makes decisions and does things like I am still not here. We argue a lot, and it is hard to walk away and regroup. I am working on it and I have told him how I feel. I know yours and several other programs are here to help people like me, and I think it is wonderful. Thank you for your support.
